In today’s time, it is essential to practice Sustainable Fashion in order to minimize the widespread environmental damage caused by the fashion industry. One such sustainable initiative is taken by Indian Designer Masaba Gupta.
Masaba recently joined hands with UNEP ( United Nations Environment Programme ) and announced her latest collection promoting sustainable fashion. Her anti-plastic clothing line named ‘I Will Wear Out Plastic’ is aimed towards eliminating the adoption of single-use plastic.
Masaba Gupta launched her collection on Instagram in the form of a video, and said, “I am sure all of us know what the state of the environment is today. I am sure that all of us are trying to do our little bit for the future generations to come. This is House of Masaba’s way of giving back to the environment,”
‘I Will Wear Out Plastic’ Collection
Each garment created under the ‘I Will Wear Out Plastic’ comes with a detachable bag that is carefully and creatively designed into the garment. All you need to do is to pull out the bag whenever you are in need of one. Masaba also gave a sneak peek of the dresses ranging from The Giraffe Pop Wrap dress to The Temple Swan Hi-Low Dress on House of Masaba’s Instagram Handle.

We praise Masaba for using her voice and taking this initiative towards creating a more sustainable fashion industry in India. And for instilling in the masses the idea to #BeatPlasticPollution. We also encourage other designers to take such initiatives and create garments at a cheaper price so that the majority of the population can afford and use it.
